I asked this question earlier. Here are KCOTA's responses (from another parish):
Todo addressed your question in this week's audio show where we discussed this issue. I'll address it again in the monthly newsletter wrap up of discussion topics.
When pressed to answer on the board (so everyone who'd seen the claim could see the answer), he responded thusly:
It is a fair request, but I won't burn the source. I've got the email, but it was private and I don't have permission to release that information. As it isn't a matter of national security that I can be compelled to release by being sent to jail I'll protect my source. However, from the statements I've made along with Todo there are only two individuals that it could possibly be. Now is the opportunity for koicop in my opinion to do the extra leg work to find the answer for whatever reason he is seeking it.
So there you go: He invoked Florida's Shield Law to keep from having to source an unsourced attribution! LOL

OK, I find it a tad double standard that he would quote from an email from me that was dealing with a KOI USA Business staffing issue, (without my permission...not that it was needed), and yet will not name his source? Ed Salinas and Joyce Glenn were both present at the KOI USA Board meeting this last Tuesday when the article was discussed and no negative comments were made by either. The Koi featured in the article was in fact owned by Tom and Cindy Graham, Cindy being the previous acting editor. As for KOI USA policy on articles? That "policy" as you call it is made by the editor at the time anyway. The editor is tasked with selecting articles that he feels the membership will enjoy. The overwelming response to that article and the edition in general has been highly positive.
